Terms & Conditions

  • Submission of the Account Information Form (or any variation of the account form) is considered confirmation of booking.
  • Great News Media reserves the right to process payment for a booking at any point after the customer has confirmed said booking.
  • Great News Media’s booking and ad change deadline is always on the 1st of the month, previous to the advertising month (for example, the deadline for the July editions is on June 1st). Any bookings, booking changes, or ad changes requested after the deadline cannot be guaranteed.
  • The customer is responsible for providing written email notification to Great News Media for any bookings, booking changes, ad changes, or cancellations to the scheduled advertising copy by the deadline mentioned in the previous note, otherwise Great News Media reserves the right to run booked advertising as is. Phone calls or voicemails will not be accepted as confirmation for cancellations.
  • For all advertising that is cancelled after the deadline, or once the work has been completed (such as account set-up, quote, booking, ad design, ad proof), a minimum cancellation fee of $35.00, or 20% (whichever is greater) will apply. Any bookings made after the deadline are still subject to a minimum cancellation fee of $35.00, or 20% (whichever is greater). This fee covers the cost of us having to re-typeset the magazine after the reserved ad space has been cancelled.
  • The customer is responsible for providing a print-ready ad to Great News Media, as per the specifications listed in our media kit. Great News Media has an in-house design team that is available to any customer to work with, for a fee of $75. This fee comes with the initial design and two proofs. Any further changes to your design after 2 proofs may result in an additional design fee. A full or partial design fee may be charged if an ad is provided to us that is not designed to the specifications listed in our media kit.

Any legal measures taken against Great News Media for the inclusion of potentially copyrighted materials will then become the responsibility of the group or individual who provided said materials to Great News Media.
  • Great News Media reserves the right to run previous ads if we do not receive ad changes from the customer before the deadline. In the event that this happens, we will choose the most appropriate previously ran ad for the current booking (for example, we would choose a more generic ad if possible).
  • Great News Media reserves the right to run booked advertising as is, in the event of failure to provide approval of the proof copy. We will provide 24 hours for any changes to be made to proofs, for design requests submitted before the deadline. Any design requets submitted after the deadline may require a shorter timeframe for approval, as we must adhear to a strict schedule for printing and collating our magazines. All other companies under Great News Media must have proofs approved by email before work can begin.
